New York, NY (9/18/02) – The Montclair State University women's soccer team played to a 0-0 double-overtime tie tonight at host New York University, in a rematch of the past two ECAC Division III Metro Championship games.

MSU won theECAC title in 2000, while the Violets took the 2001 crown. Montclair had last ended up in a scoreless tie almost a year ago, on Sept. 24, 2001 against Richard Stockton College.

NYU outshot MSU (2-3-1) by a 7-6 margin tonight, while Montclair State senior goalkeeper STEPHANIE ROMANKO (N. Brunswick, NJ/N. Brunswick) finished with two saves in posting her second shutout this season and the 35th of her Red Hawk career.
