Farmingdale, NY (9/03/02) - The Montclair State men's soccer team used a four-goal spurt during a 14-minute span in the second half en route to a 4-0 victory over SUNY-Farmingdale in the 2002 season opener for both teams on Tuesday afternoon.
The win was the first for new Red Hawk head coach Brian Sentowski, who took over the program in March.

The lead then grew to 2-0 just over four minutes later as ATIBA YUSUF (east Orange, NJ/East Orange) tapped in a pass from RYAN GUTERL (Lyndhurst, NJ/Lyndhurst) beating Farmingdale goalkeeper PATRICK SANTIAGO.
Freshman ANTHONY TOMASSO (Westfield, NJ/Westfield) gave the Red Hawks a 3-0 lead in the 82nd minute as he scored off a rebound and the final MSU tally came off the foot of LEO CARABALLO (Totowa, NJ/Don Bosco Prep), who scored on a breakaway with 15 minutes to play.
