Upper Montclair, NJ (10/11/03) --- The Montclair State University men's soccer team won its fourth straight game with today's 4-1 victory over visiting Villa Julie (MD) College at MSU Soccer Park at Pittser Field.
The eighth-ranked Red Hawks improved to 11-1-2 on the year behind two goals and an assist from freshman forward
RYAN MORGAN (Princeton, NJ/Princeton) and a goal and two assists from sophomore midfielder
SEAN HORAN (Tinton Falls, NJ/Red Bank Catholic). Morgan now leads MSU with seven goals and 14 points on the year, while Horan boasts a team-high six assists and is second on the squad with 12 points.
Horan opened the scoring at 8:20, tapping in Morgan's pass from the left side. Sophomore midfielder Dan Wells (Maywood, NJ/Hackensack) then made it 2-0 for MSU at 35:13, converting Horan's cross from the right side. The Red Hawks then sealed matters in a span of 57 seconds in the second half on pair of Morgan goals at 52:47 and 53:44, respectively. Horan and freshman midfielder

Sophomore midfielder Craig Nearhood (Edgewood, MD/Edgewood) got the visisting Mustangs (0-11-1) on the board at 64:38, scoring unassisted just nine seconds after his penalty shot attempt was turned back by MSU sophomore goalkeeper
DAVID AVILES (Dover, NJ/Dover). Aviles finished with three saves in 30:30 of relief for Montclair starter
EDGARD DINTEN (Old Bridge, NJ/Old Bridge), who made one save. Senior goalkeeper Matt Barrett (Perry Hall, MD / Perry Hall) had seven saves on 11 shots on goal in playing just under 60 minutes for Villa Julie, before being spelled by sophomore James Pallozzi (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville), who made one save. MSU outshot Villa Julie, 17-9, and outcornered the Mustangs, 6-3. The Red Hawks were offside eight times on the day to VJC's two offsides.
MSU continues its four-game homestand on Monday, Oct. 13, when it hosts Ferrum (VA) College at 2:00 p.m. at MSU Soccer Park at Pittser Field.
