Huntingdon, PA (11/1/03) - The Montclair State University field hockey team, ranked eighth in NCAA Division III, saw its five-game winning streak and four-game shutout string come to an end with today's 1-0 loss at Juniata College.

The contest was decided on penalty strokes following two scoreless overtime sessions. TRISHA WINKLE made eight saves, including a stop on a penalty stroke in regulation to keep the game deadlocked.

MSU is now 14-3 on the year and will close out the regular season at NJAC rival Rowan on Tuesday, Nov. 4. A win by Montclair State would give the Red Hawks their first-ever New Jersey Athletic Conference championship. MSU is currently 4-0 in the NJAC.
