The Red Hawks (5-1-0, NJAC 2-0-0) got goals from juniors
CASSIE NAHREBNE (Colonia, NJ/John F. Kennedy) and
STEPHANIE SABALIAUSKAS (Edison, NJ/Mt. St. Mary Academy), and sophomores
KELLY DUTKO (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert),
JESS AMENDOLA (Union, NJ/Union) and Kaylan Van Brookhoven (Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo), but the game winner came on an own goal on a miss-played corner kick by the Scarlet Raiders just 4:45 into the contest.
MSU out shot the Raiders 25-7 with Hinds running her record to 5-1-0 with a one-save first half before handing the game over to Kuhmann with a 4-0 lead.
Raider sophomore goalie Ashley Woodruff (North Plainfield, NJ/North Plainfield) recorded eight saves and gave up five goals before leaving the match with an injury with eight minutes remaining. Midfielder Kate Hegewald (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) finished the game in goal, giving up a goal to Van Brookhoven with just 14 seconds left.
