KELLY MCGUIRE (Upper Saddle River, NJ/No. Highlands) each collected seven digs in the match. Junior setter
JENNIFER OLAN (Jersey City, NJ/McNair Academy) had 17 assists and a team-best eight digs.
Against Marywood, the Red Hawks had four different players reach double-figures in kills as Alvarado had 18, Laurent 17, freshman
ASIA LIVINGSTON (Paterson, NJ/Passaic County Tech) 14 and McGuire 10.
JOANA CORTEZ (Paterson, NJ/East Side) registered 13 digs with Olan posting a season-high 47 assists as MSU lost the first game 30-28, but rebounded to take Games 2-3, 30-23, 30-28. However, Marywood took the final two games, including a 15-11 decision in the fifth set.
The Red Hawks return to action on Tuesday, September 30th at defending NJAC champion Rowan University at 7:00 pm. Currently, Montclair is 1-3 in the conference.
