Allegheny, PA (09/06/03) - The Montclair State University volleyball team finished 0-4 at the 2003 Allegheny Volleyball Invitational as the Red Hawks dropped a pair of three-game deicision to Otterbein College and Washington and Jefferson.
The losses left MSU at 1-6 on the season and a six-match losing streak. Otterbein posted a 30-12, 30-20, 30-28 win while Washington & Jefferson recorded a 30-23, 30-12, 30-24 decision.

HEATHER ACIZ (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus) led the way for Montclair State in the loss to Otterbein. Aciz collected nine kills, three aces and five digs while fellow classmate
ASIA LIVINGSTON (Paterson, NJ/Passaic County Tech) had seven kills and seven digs. Heather's sister
TIFFANY ACIZ (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus) posted 17 assists to go along with three aces, four kills and five digs.
In the loss to Washington & Jefferson, the Aciz sisters combined for 14 kills and 11 assists as Tiffany recorded eight kills while Heather added six. Livingston and senior
CARMEN ALVARADO (Newark, NJ/Barringer) had six kills apiece with Alvarado adding eight assists and six digs.
The Red Hawks return to action on Tuesday, September 9th as it takes on Richard Stockton College in its 2003 home opener at Panzer Gymnasium. It will also be the first NJAC contest for Montclair this season.
