Mahwah, NJ (10/02/04) – The Montclair State women's soccer team got back to the .500 mark on Saturday afternoon as the Red Hawks edged Ramapo in overtime, 1-0.

Sophomore SERENA FUMOSA knocked in the game-winner in the 108th minute. Fumosa notched her first goal of the season as she banged home a shot during a scramble in front of the net. RUBY RUSSELL got the assist.

Montclair State held a 15-8 edge in shots but could not find the back of the net against Ramapo goalkeeper Christy Turner, who made five saves.
Red Hawk netminder KRISTIN KUHMANN was just as stingy in goal as she turned away four Roadrunner shots to record her fourth consecutive shutout and run her streak of scoreless minutes to 402:09.

The Red Hawks return to action on Tuesday, October 5, as they host the Cyclones of Centenary College at MSU Soccer Park. Last year, MSU posted a pair of victories over Centenary - 2-0 during the regular season and a 1-0 triumph in the fog in the ECAC Metro Championship semifinals.
