Wilkes-Barre, PA (10/30/04) - Erin Henry scored the only goal of the contest midway through the second half to lift Wilkes University to a 1-0 non-conference win over ninth-ranked Montclair State University on Saturday afternoon at Artillery Park.

The win improves the Lady Colonels' record to 9-9 overallheading into Wednesday's Freedom Conference semi-final game at Drew University. The visiting Red Hawks fell to 12-5 on the year.
Henry tallied the game-winning goal at the 48:48 mark of the second stanza when she redirected a cross from Lindsey Thomas past Montclair State goalkeeper ROBYN APICELLI. Wilkes held a 15-13 advantage in shots on the day, and also earned a 10-8 edge in penalty corners.

Lady Colonels goalie Hilary Weber came up with eight saves to notch the shutout win, while Apicelli finished the afternoon with eight saves for Montclair, which suffered its third straight setback on the road.

The Red Hawks close out their regular season on Wednesday, Nov. 3, when they host C.W. Post at Sprague Field for Senior Night at 7:00 p.m.
