JESSICA GARRABRANT and junior forward
AMANDA MULLANEY each netted 13 points as Montclair State posted its second straight victory with an 80-59 victory over Centenary College in NCAA Division III Women's Basketball action on Monday evening.

STEPHANIE GUZMAN added 12 points off the bench for the Red Hawks, who improved to 4-2 on the season. Dana Tobia had 13 points for the Cyclones (1-4).
The Red Hawks led for all but 26 seconds of the game as Centenary's Ayana Way scored on a layup to put the Cyclones ahead, 11-10 with 14:28 to play. Garrabrant and Mullaney each scored to put MSU back in front 14-11 and after Centenary answered to make the score 14-13, Montclair went on a 10-0 run over the next three-plus minutes to take control.

SHIKEENA LYNARD added a short basket to make the score 18-13 with 11:56 remaining. Mullaney scored again to push the lead to seven points before
JESSICA HORAN closed out the run with four consecutive free throws. A jumper by Garrabrant with 5:03 left put the Red Hawks into a double-digit lead, 31-20 and MSU took its largest lead of the half as Mullaney scored for a 37-20 advantage en route to a 42-26 lead at intermission.
In the second half, Montclair State opened with a 13-3 run to build a 55-29 bulge with just over 14 minutes left.
STEPHANIE MACHIN had four points in the run before
CYNTHIA WARRINGTON capped the run with a pair of free throws.
Guzman scored all 12 of her points over the final nine minutes as she was a perfect 4-of-4 from the floor while converting 4-of-6 at the free throw line.
Montclair State, which was just 6-of-18 at the charity stripe in its previous contest, bounced back tonight, going 30-of-40 at the foul line, including 6-of-6 by Horan. Garrabrant added six rebounds for the Red Hawks while Mullaney and
FERIN CATLETT each grabbed nine boards. Horan finished with nine points while Machin added eight.
Heather Domotor had 11 points and nine rebounds for the Cyclones, who shot just 26 percent from the field (17-of-64), including 6-of-33 in the second half. Centenayr was also outrebounded in the contest, 48-42.
Each team committed 27 turnovers in the game.
Montclair State returns to action on Wednesday, December 8 as the Red Hawks play their final NJAC contest of the calendar year. MSU will travel to Ramapo and the new Bradley Center to face Ramapo College at 5:30 pm. The Red Hawks are currently 2-1 in the young conference season.
