CATHY HOMIEK (Toms River, NJ/Toms River South) set up six other scores as the Montclair State University women's lacrosse team improved to 8-0 this season with a 15-0 victory today at Centenary College.
The Red Hawks, who also improved to 2-0 in Knickerbocker Lacrosse Conference play, have now won a school-record eight consecutive games and are just one shy of the 2001 team's mark of nine total victories in a single season. Today also marked the second time this season that MSU has shut out an opponent.

The 2-0 lead held until the Red Hawks tallied five times in just under six minutes to make it a 7-0 affair. MSU then added two more goals for a 9-0 halftime advantage, before scoring six times in the final 30 minutes of play.
Gisondi added her second goal of the game at 40:03, as Homiek registered the first of five consecutive assists to lift her to 314 career points, good for 24th all-time in NCAA Division III women's lacrosse annals. LaRocca completed her hat trick at 44:30, followed less than two minutes later by Daily. Freshman goalkeeper Kristin Kuhmann (Beachwood, NJ/Toms River South) and junior netminder
DIANA GIL (Landing, NJ/Roxbury) combined for the shutout, with Kuhmann making 10 saves as the starter and Gil recording one stop in relief.
Montclair now visits Stevens Tech (11-1 overall, 2-0 KLC) this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in Hoboken in a key conference match-up. The Ducks defeated the Red Hawks, 11-7, last season at MSU's Sprague Field.
