Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Snaps Losing Skid; Tops William Paterson 4-0

Montclair, NJ (09/22/04) – The Montclair State University women's soccer team got two goals from senior forward LIZ D'ALTO in recording a 4-0 win over William Paterson University today at MSU Soccer Park at Pittser Field in New Jersey Athletic Conference action. 
 
Montclair, which had its original home opener on Sept. 8 versus Stevens postponed by rain, improved to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in NJAC play, while WPU fell to 3-3-1 on the year and 1-1 in the conference.

MSU junior forward KELLY DUTKO put the Red Hawks ahead 13:19 into the game, before setting up D'Alto for a header off a corner kick at 30:31 to put the Red Hawks up, 2-0. Senior defender GABBY WHITE sent in junior forward JESS AMENDOLA for a goal at 46:53 for a 3-0 lead, before D'Alto closed out the scoring by putting home her own rebound at 83:29. 
The Red Hawks outshot the Pioneers, 21-7, and held the edge in corner kicks (9-4) and fouls (5-4). 

Sophomore goalkeeper KRISTIN KUHMANN made two saves for Montclair State in collecting her first career MSU win and shutout, while freshman netminder Erin Bollendorf had four stops for William Paterson. 

Montclair, which had last played in a 2-0 loss at TCNJ on Sept. 16, returns to conference action on Saturday, Sept. 25, when it hosts Kean at MSU Soccer Park.
