Union, NJ (09/25/04) - Kean University senior forward Marc Fay netted a pair of goals, including the match-winner in overtime, to rally the Cougars past Montclair State University in New Jersey Athletic Conference men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.
With the victory, Kean improved to 6-2-1 overall, 2-0 in the conference, while the Red Hawks lost their first contest of the year to drop to 7-1-1 overall, 2-1 in the NJAC.

RYAN MORGAN stole the ball from a Cougar defender and went in for a breakaway goal for the early 1-0 lead.
T he score would remain that way for the next 83 minutes when Fay tied the game with 6:03 remaining in regulation, when he controlled a loose ball and fired a shot past the Red Hawk goalkeeper. It was the first goal allowed by MSU in nearly 474 minutes dating back to September 12 in a 2-1 victory over Guilford (NC).

CHRIS OWEN saved, before Fay punched home the golden goal 4:26 into overtime following a scramble in the box after a corner kick.
For the Red Hawks, Owen made eight saves, while Cougar junior goalkeeper Bogdan Protas stopped one shot in the victory. For the game, the Cougars held a 19-6 edge in shots and a 10-1 advantage in corner kicks.
