Hoboken, NJ (09/04/04) - The Montclair State University women's volleyball squad began its 2004 campaign today by posting two wins in three matches at the New Jersey Athletic Conference/Skyline Conference Crossover held at Stevens Tech.
The NJAC, represented by MSU, William Paterson and former member New Jersey City, won six of the nine matches on the day, although host Stevens finished in first place with a perfect 3-0 record.

TIFFANY ACIZ was named to the All-Tournament Team, as was junior setter
KELLY MCGUIRE. Aciz finished with 23 kills, six services aces and 31 digs, while McGuire collected a team-high 32 kills and added 29 digs and 15 assists. Montclair averaged 8.77 kills and 13.0 digs per game as a team.
MSU opened up with a 3-2 win over Centenary (30-28, 30-24, 23-30, 28-30, 15-7) as McGuire posted 18 kills and sophomores
ELYSE GRYWALSKI registered 41 assists. Montclair then fell 3-0 to Stevens (15-30, 16-30, 26-30) despite 10 digs by sophomore hitter
ASIA LIVINGSTON and nine assists from Grywalski.
The Red Hawks rebounded for a 3-2 victory (28-30, 22-30, 30-26, 30-20, 15-11) over St. Joseph's-Patchogue (NY), as McGuire tallied 13 kills and Aciz recorded 15 digs and nine kills.

Montclair State returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 8, with a single match at Rosemont College (PA) at 7:00 p.m.
