Glassboro, NJ (1/10/05) - Freshman guard JESSICA GARRABRANT (right) poted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds as Montclair State posted its third straight win with a 69-50 victory at Rowan University on Monday evening. Sophomore Stephanine Machin had 16 points while AMANDA MULLANEY collected nine and 10 rebounds as the Red Hawks imrpvoed to 8-4 overall, 3-2 in the NJAC.

For Rowan, guard Jaime McCormack scored a game high 25 points that was also her season high. McCormack totaled seven rebounds and five steals. Forward Stephanie Finke added nine points and 11 rebounds.

In the second half, guard JESSICA HORAN hit the tying basket (27) at 18:27 for the Red Hawks. MSU then recorded a 17-2 run to lead 44-29 with 11:28 left. Machin scored six points while Garrabrant had four in the run.

Rowan pulled within eight points (44-36) after a three pointer by Finke (9:23). MSU had a 13-4 surge to lead by 17 (57-40) at 4:33 to put the game out of reach. The closest the Profs came was 11 points (61-50) after two fouls shots by McCormack.

In the first half, MSU trailed by 10 points (17-7) with 10:11 remaining. The Red Hawks cut the lead to four (17-13) with three straight baskets in a two minute span. The Profs went back up by eight (21-13) after Finke's jumper at 4:42.

Montclair answered with three buckets in a row to trail 21-19 with 2:19 left. Garrabrant had the last basket of the half and MSU was down by two (25-23) at the intermission. McCormack was the only player in double figures in the first period with 13 points.
