KRISTINE BATES (right) took first-place in the 50 meter freestyle, however, could not prevent East Stroudsburg from a posting a 49-36 victory in the long course meet on Monday afternoon.
RACHEL YANNUZZI won the 100 meter breaststroke for MSU, whiuch fell to 4-6 on the year.
Bates posted a time of 29.66 in the 50 freestyle and later added a second-place showing in the 100 freestyle (1:07.66).
Yannuzzi led a 1-2 finish in the 100 breaststroke as she posted a time of 1:28.52.
TRACEY GROEL came in at 1:32.33. Yannuzzi then helped the Red Hawks 200 freestyle relay team to a victory with a time of 2:07.82. Yannuzzi was joined on the team by
LINDSEY NEWMAN, Jess Guth and
DIANA GIL.
The Red Hawks return to action on Saturday, January 15 as they host the Ducks of Stevens Tech at the Panzer Pool. The men's and women's meet is scheduled to begin at 12:00 pm.
