Pomona, NJ (10/1/05) - Richard Stockton (6-5, 1-1 NJAC) upset 11 th-ranked and previously undefeated Montclair State (7-1, 0-1 NJAC) 2-1 in an NJAC field hockey game this afternoon.
The Ospreys won their third consecutive game and ended Montclair's seven-game winning streak. Courtney Clemens and Jen Jones scored one goal apiece and Caitlin Nolan made 11 saves for the Ospreys.

Clemens scored the only goal of the first half with an assist by Alison Capelli for a 1-0 Stockton lead just 8:18 into the game. Nolan stopped two penalty strokes in the half and the Ospreys held onto the 1-0 lead at the break.
Stockton doubled its lead when Jones scored with an assist from Kristen Woodrow at 49:34, but Montclair responded with a tally by Kelly at 52:55 to trim the margin to one-goal at 2-1.
Despite advantages of 13-7 in shots and a whopping 23-2 in penalty corners for the Red Hawks in the game, Stockton was able to hold off Montclair and complete the upset, 2-1.
Montclair State returns to action on Wednesday, October 5 as they travel to Kean University for a 7:00 pm matchup with the Cougars at Kean Alumni Stadium.
