Salem, MA (11/19/05) – Senior forward AMANDA MULLANEY had 15 points and eight rebounds off the bench, however, it wasn't enough as Montclair State fell to host Salem State, 64-45 in the championship game of the Salem State Tip-Off on Saturday afternoon.

Mullaney and JESSICA HORAN were named to the All-Tournament Team. Salem State jumped out to a 41-29 halftime lead thanks in part of a 59 percent shooting effort in the first half.

Lindsey Watkins, who was named the Tournament MVP, had 11 points in the opening period while Michelle Gosselin added nine of her 12 points.In the second half, the Lady Vikings defense tightened even further as they held the Red Hawks to just 16 points on 31 percent shooting (6-of-19). MSU managed just 35 percent (19-of-54) from the floor in the game.

Horan had eight points and two assists while MICHELLE MADEJ had seven and six rebounds. FERIN CATLETT had six points while STEPHANIE MACHIN pulled down six rebounds.

Watkins had 17 points and 10 rebounds for Salem State, which also had 15 points and six blocked shots by Estella Kuilan.
