SHAUNA BROCKLEBANK scored three times and assisted on two other scores as Montclair State scored the final four goals of the game rallying past Kean, 11-8, in Knickerbocker Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

ERIN BALINT and
NICOLE LAROCCA each added two goals as the Red Hawks improved to 8-3 overall, 2-1 in the KWLC.
Trailing 8-7 midway through the second period, the Red Hawks netted the final four goals of the game, all by different players, to pull away for the three-goal victory. Balint tied the game at 8-8 on an unassisted goal with 15:42 remaining in the game, and Brocklebank gave Montclair State the lead for good with just under nine minutes left in the game.
LaRocca scored 26 seconds later to give MSU a 10-8 lead and
BRIANNA GILLIN capped off the late-game run with an unassisted score with 3:59 to play.
The Cougars scored the first two goals of the second half to erase a 5-4 halftime deficit and the two teams alternated goals with Kean taking its final lead on an unassisted goal by freshman attack Tara Nardella with 19:09 remaining.
In the victory, Brocklebank also added an assist, while Tanis had an assist and five draw controls. Sophomore goalkeeper
KRISTEN KUHMANN turned away 14 Cougar shots, including 12 in the first half.
MSU returns to action on Thursday, April 21 as they host the Cyclones of Centenary in their final KWLC game. A win gives MSU the No. 2 seed in the Knickerbocker Tournament which begins on Wednesday, April 27.
