HEATHER ACIZ had 10 kills and 14 digs while sophomore
ZAIRY RAMOS added nine kills and 10 digs as Montclair State posted a 3-0 victory over Rutgers-Camden in NJAC Conference Volleyball action at Panzer Gymnasium on Tuesday evening.
Sophomore
MELISSA CIACCIO registered 26 assists for the Red Hawks (2-3, 1-0 NJAC), who won their home opener and first home match under new head coach Karin Harvey. The Red Hawks won the first contest, 30-22 before taking the final two games, 30-23 and 30-25.
Karla Maisto had eight kills and five digs for Rutgers-Camden (0-2, 0-1 NJAC).
Aciz also had two service aces and Ramos three to go along with three total blocks. Freshman
SAMANTHA KARPINSKI had six kills and two digs.
VANESSA SOTOand
RAQUEL PICHARDO had 11 digs apiece.
For Rutgers-Camden, Nikki Cosico had 13 assists while Julie Grochowski recorded three kills, two aces, nine digs and four solo blocks.
Montclair State returns to action on Thursday, September 15 as they host Rosemont College (PA) at Panzer Gymnasium. First serve is slated for 7:00 pm. Rutgers-Camden travels to Cabrini College on the same day.
