Montclair, NJ (9/20/05) – Senior Whitney Verduin collected 10 kills and junior Lauren Schafer added nine and eight digs as Richard Stockton swept Montclair State, 3-0, in New Jersey Athletic Conference Volleyball action at Panzer Gymnasium on Tuesday evening.

Richard Stockton won the match taking the first game 30-19 before winning the final two games, 30-18 and 30-13.

Kate Hahn registered 32 assists for the Ospreys (9-3, 2-0 NJAC), who have never lost to the Red Hawks (5-6, 1-1 NJAC) in 30 matches all time. Richard Stockton has won five straight.

HEATHER ACIZ had six kills and eight digs while freshman SAMANTHA KARPINSKI added five for Montclair State.

Amanda Burkart collected nine kills and eight digs while Hahn had one block solo and three block assists. MELISSA CIACCIO had 15 assists and seven digs with JANIELLE SANCHEZ added 11 digs from her libero position.

The Red Hawks return to action on Thursday, September 22 as they travel the short distance to Wayne, NJ to face local and NJAC rival William Paterson at 7:00 pm. Richard Stockton is off until September 23-24 when they compete at the Salisbury (MD) Tournament.
