Wayne, NJ (9/22/05) – Senior Lauren Shears spiked 20 kills and senior Holly Tedesco set 17 assists while also serving four aces as William Paterson produced a 30-20, 30-20, 30-20 sweep of backyard and New Jersey Athletic Conference rival Montclair State on Thursday night at the William Paterson Rec Center.
\William Paterson (8-3, 2-0) won its third straight and for the sixth time in seven matches, while the Red Hawks (5-7, 1-2) dropped their second consecutive contest.

HEATHER ACIZ spiked 11 kills and dug up 12 balls in the loss for the Red Hawks, leading them in both categories. Sophomore
MELISSA CIACCIO set 24 assists and freshman
SAMANTHA KARPINSKI chipped in seven kills and six digs for Montclair State.
Senior Kerri Lindenthaler finished with five kills and 10 digs for the Pioneers, while freshman Jess Wagner added nine digs.
William Paterson returns to action Saturday, Sept. 24, when it hosts Mount St. Vincent at 1 p.m. and Baruch at 4 p.m. Montclair State hosts John Jay the same day at 1 p.m.
