LARA KAMINSKI (right) scored the lone goal five minutes into the match as Montclair State captured the Wellesley Invitational with a 1-0 win over Eastern Connecticut on Sunday afternoon.
Kaminski, who scored two goals in the tournament was named the Most Valuable Player.
With the tournament title, Montclair improves to 3-1 on the season, while ECSU drops to 3-2 overall.
Kaminski's lone goal of the match came off a free kick from 20 yards out
when she struck the ball over the head of Warrior keeper, Megan Gloster (Agawam, Mass.).

KRISTIN KUHMANN (Beachwood, NJ / Toms River South) )recorded eight saves as she posted her third shutout of the season, while ECSU netminders Gloster and Kim Church (Farmington, Conn.) combined for five stops.
The Red Hawks return to action on Wednesday, September 13 as they host the Ducks of Stevens at Sprague Field in their 2006 home opener. Kickoff is set for 8:00 pm.
