Pomona, NJ (9/26/06) - Richard Stockton (10-7, 4-0 NJAC) ended a four-match skidand dealt Montclair State (4-13, 2-2 NJAC) its fifth consecutive loss,30-26, 30-23, 30-23, in an NJAC volleyball match tonight. With the win, the Ospreys remained unbeaten in conference play.
Amanda Burkart (Cresskill/Cresskill) led the Ospreys with a team-high 14 kills, plus nine digs and four aces. Lauren Schaffer (East Brunswick/East Brunswick) tallied nine kills and a match-high six blocks while Christine Aletras (Ridgewood/Ridgewood) finished with 27 assists and a team-high 14 digs for Stockton.
HEATHER ACIZ (Secaucus/Secaucus) paced Montclair State with match highs of 18 kills and 19 digs.
ANNA CHESNAKOVA (East Brunswick/East Brunswick) registered 10 kills and five blocks, and setter
RAISA SILVA(Newark/East Side) dished 33 assists for the Red Hawks.
Stockton will travel to Washington College (MD) on Friday, September 29 for a non-league match at 7 pm. Montclair State will compete in the Hunter College Invitational on Saturday, September 30 beginning at 10 am.
