LIZA OFFREDA (East Rutherford, NJ / Midland Park) netted two goals as Montclair State posted a 4-1 New Jersey Athletic Conference women's soccer victory over Rutgers-Newark on Alumni Field.
Offreda gave Montclair State a 3-0 lead in the 41st minute before Raider senior midfielder Alison Phillips (Buena, NJ/Buena Regional) chipped a breakaway shot over Tepperman. Sophomore foward Karen Johnson (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) delivered a crisp through pass to set up Phillips' run.

LEAH TEPPERMAN (North Andover, MA / North Andover) needed just four saves to get her third victory of the season as the Red Hawks (3-5-1, NJAC 2-2-0) out shot the Scarlet Raiders, 21-11, and controlled corner kicks, 8-6.
Offreda iced the match when she fired a loose ball over sophomore goalkeeper Sam Weer (Willingboro, NJ/Life Center Academy) less than two minutes into the second half to end the scoring. Weer (3-1-0) made nine saves in suffering her first loss in goal.

LARA KAMINSKI (Rahway, NJ / Union Catholic) drilled a free kick into the left side of the goal from the top of the 18 in the 16th minute to opening the scoring before freshman forward
CHRISTYN SCILLIERI (Wayne, NJ / Wayne Valley) scored the winning goal on a breakaway run on a through pass from sophomore forward Natalie Sisti (Lincoln Park, NJ / DePaul) in the 19th minute.
