West Deptford , NJ (10/7/08)  –Junior KARA BURNHAM (Moorestown, NJ / Moorestown) collected six kills and served five of Montclair State's 24 aces as the Red Hawks swept passed Rugers-Camden in three sets on Tuesday evening. The victory put MSU at 13-9 overall, 4-1 in the NJAC.

The Red Hawks collected 32 kills, including 10 by junior outside hitter KAREN MARTIN (Sicklerville, NJ/Washington Township) as it took the match 25-13, 25-6, 25-9.

 Sophomore KRISTEN RUGGIERI (Hillsdale, NJ/Pascack Valley) collected 27 assists for Montclair State, while junior MEGHAN STEVENS (Woodcliffe Lake, NJ/Pascack Hills) added a team-high eight digs. Stevens and junior CHRISTINE TOSKOVICH (Garfield, NJ/Garfield) each had six of the Red Hawks' 24 service aces.

 Rutgers-Camden received six kills from junior Ebony Childers (Stratford, NJ/Camden County Technical), while freshman Katherine Crosby (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) added five kills and three digs.

 Sophomore Krista White (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) collected 10 assists, one ace and two digs.

Montclair State returns to action on Thursday, October 9 as they face Ramapo College at the Bradley Center in Mahwah. The match is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
