Wellesley, MA (9/14/08) - Montclair State University picked up a 3-1 win against Simmons College in the consolation game of the Wellesley Invitational.

NATALIA SISTI (Lincoln Park, NJ / DePaul) scored twice and assisted on another goal as tThe Red Hawks improved to 3-2 with the result, while Simmons falls to 2-4-1 on the season.
Montclair took an early 2-0 lead on back-to-back goals from Sisti, who moved ahead of Kelly Dutko into fifth place on the all-time scoring list. Sisti knocked in the first at 12:55 and scored off of a Rachel
Senyszyn (Succasunna, NJ / Roxbury) assist a little over five minutes later. She now has 31 career goals, just the fifth player in school history to record 30-plus goals.
Simmons cut the Montclair State lead to 2-1 when the Shark's Brooke MacKenzie scored unassisted at the 32 minute mark. However, the Red Hawks were able to hold on to the 2-1 lead at the break, out shooting Simmons 18-9 in the first half.
Montclair State opened the second half with 12-straight shots, hitting the back of the net at 59:41 as
ANGELA MARTONE (Toms River, NJ / Toms River South) scored off of a Sisti assist. Simmons could only manage one second half shot and the 3-1 lead held for Montclair State.
In net for Simmons, Rachel Elliott picked up 18 saves while the Red Hawk's
LEAH TEPPERMAN (North Andover, MA / North Andover) saved five.
The Red Hawks return to Montclair for their home opener on Wednesday, September 17 as they face Stevens at the MSU Soccer Park beginning at 3:30 pm.
