Hoboken, NJ (10/2/09) – The Montclair State volleyball winning streak was snapped on Friday as Stevens halted the Red Hawks run with a three-set victory in the Ducks Invitational on Friday evening.
Stevens, which improved to 13-6 on the year, knocked off the Red Hawks (5-5) 25-16, 25-15, 25-20 to end Montclair State's run at four straight. MSU hadn't lost since suffering a 3-0 loss to Vassar in its home opener on September 12.

KARA BURNHAM (Moorestown, NJ / Moorestown), Sam Karpinski (Hackensack, NJ / Hackensack) and
KAREN MARTIN (Sicklerville, NJ / Washington Township) each had five kills in the match for Montclair State. Libero
MEGHAN STEVENS (Woodcliff Lake, NJ / Pascack Hills) collected a team-best 14 digs while Martin and
ADRIANNE MOE (Rutherford, NJ / Rutherford) each had 13 digs.
Sophomore
MICHELLE DEL VALLE (Teaneck, NJ / Memorial) collected 16 assists and four digs for the Red Hawks.
Montclair State continues play in the Ducks Invitational on Saturday, October 3 as MSU faces New Paltz and CCNY at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm, respectively.
