Cortland, N.Y. (March 4, 2009) – The Montclair State men's lacrosse was unable to overcome an early deficit and was knocked off by No. 3 Cortland 16-4 in Division III action.
The Red Dragons tallied the first 11 goals before
MATTHEW PRONGAY netted a man-up goal early in the third quarter.
TYLER METH registered two second half goals as
RONNIE UMPHENOUR closed out Red Hawk scoring late in the fourth.
Mike Tota scored four times for Cortland as Joey Morgan added two goals and three assists.
THOMAS BOWERS made 10 stops in goal for Montclair State, with
DUSTIN MALASZUK causing three turnovers.
