Carlisle, PA (3/4/09) – Freshman CORA DELFINI (New Egypt, NJ / New Egypt ) scored her first career hat trick while MARYKATE DIBENEDETTO (Cinnaminson, NJ / Cinnaminson) and MAGGIE FALLON (Cherry Hill, NJ / Camden Catholic) each had two goals however, 17th-ranked Dickinson College used a game-ending 10-goal run to down Montclair State, 22-8 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Red Devils (1-0) wasted little time taking control of the game, scoring the first eight goals to take an 8-0 lead at the 18:01 mark. Montclair battled back to pull within five at haltime, trailing 12-7 at the break.

The Red Hawks (0-2) struck first to begin the second half, scoring at the 27:22 mark. That would be all for Montclair, however, as the Devils held kept them off the board for the remainder of the game.

First-year Kaity Moore (Chestertown, MD/St. Andrew's, DE) put the Devils on the scoreboard just 1:33 into the game, converting a free position shot.

Junior Lexie Kob (Collegeville, PA/Springford) tallied a pair in the opening run as seven different players scored goals to put Dickinson in front 8-0.

Moore finished the day with a game-high four goals, adding an assist and four ground balls. Junior Blair Thompson (Portsmouth, NH/Holderness) added four goals as well to pace the Devil attack.

Senior Amy Jennings (Baltimore, MD/McDonogh) scored two goals and handed out three assists on the afternoon. Sophomore Sunnie Ko (Springfield, VA/West Springfield) tallied two goals, two assists and controlled six draws.

Senior Ana Sokol (Colts Neck, NJ/Peddie School) controlled five draws, adding two caused turnovers, a goal and an assist. Junior Abby Larson (Easton, MD/Gunston Day School) netted a hat-trick, adding three ground balls, two draws and two caused turnovers.

Rachel Jones (Bel Air, MD/C. Milton Wright) and Renee Welker (Butler, PA/Shady Side) anchored a solid defensive effort, joined by Amanda West (Harleysville, PA/North Penn) with three ground balls, two caused turnovers and a draw control.

For Montclair State, JAMIE HUDACKO (Montville, NJ / Montville) had a team-high four ground balls and two caused turnovers while MORGAN MACPHEE (Toms River, NJ / Toms River East) added three.

Sophomore Jessie Clark (Devon, PA/Conestoga) made eight saves in goal for the Devils. DEMI MASTERSON (Long Valley, NJ / West Morris Central) made eight saves while TRACEY MANELLA (Haworth, NJ / NV - Demarest) and CHRISTINA CROSSIN (Milford, CT / Lauralton Hall) each stopped two shots.

The Red Hawks return to action on Saturday, March 7 as they take on FDU-Florham. Game time in Madison, NJ is slated for 11:00 am.
