Rochester, NY (11/20/10) - An early run by fifth-ranked University of Rochester in the first half proved to be too much for Montclair State to overcome as the Red Hawks fell to the Yellow Jackets in the championship game of the Chuck Resler Tournament, 82-53 on Saturday evening.

Sophomore forward TAYLOR JEFFERS (Franklin Township, NJ / Franklin)had 12 points, seven rebounds and two steals as Montclair State fell to 1-2 on the season.

The Yellow Jackets scored the first seven points of the game and shot 50 percent in the first half in building a 37-15 halftime advantage. Meanwhile Montclair State struggled from the floor making just 6-of-24 attempts, including all three three-point opportunities.

Senior forward KISANDRA AYANBEKU (Brockton, NJ / Randolph) added 10 points and four rebounds while junior JAIME ERICSON (Flemington, NJ / Hunterdon Central) collected six points and six rebounds.

Montclair will returns to the Panzer Athletic Center for its home opener against Cabrini College on Tuesday, November 22 at 6:00 pm.
