Madison, NJ (3/31/10) - Senior midfielder TAYLOR BONNER (Old Bridge, NJ / Old Bridge) scored three goals as the Montclair State men's lacrosse team, ranked 20th in the Division III, recorded its fifth straight win as the Red Hawks downed Drew University, 9-6 on Wednesday evening.

RYAN KLOSS (Flemington, NJ / Hillsborough) had two goals and an assist for MSU, which improved to 6-3 this season.
Kloss scored both of his goals in the opening period as Montclair State took a 3-1 lead. He connected on his first 34 seconds into the contest and added the second with 12:13 remaining as the Red Hawks went up quickly by two. Drew would get a goal back inside 11 minutes to trim the lead back to a goal however Bonner scored with 2:02 to play off an assist from Sinicola.

The Bonner-Sinicola connection on the man-advantage struck again with 8:24 to play in the second as Montclair extended the lead to 4-1 before a Drew goal with two seconds to go left MSU with a 4-2 lead at the break.

Sinicola set up a man-advantage goal by TYLER METH (Basking Ridge, NJ / Ridge) with 5:15 remaining as the Red Hawks led 5-2. But Drew would score the next three, including one with 37 seconds left as the game was tied at 5-5 after three periods.

In the fourth, Montclair would quickly jump back in front. THOMAS RING (Nutley, NJ / Nutley) finished off a Sinicola pass 48 seconds in to give MSU a 6-5 lead. That would be the first of three straight for the Red Hawks as Ring scored again unassisted with 5:32 left and Bonner tallied his third as MSU regained its three-goal lead with just under four minutes left.

Drew found the back of the net with 2:18 left making the score 8-6, but Sinicola, who finished with four assists, scored with 1:40 remaining for the final margin.

Senior goalkeeper ANDREW ROSADO (Elmwood Park, NJ / St. Joseph's (Montvale)) stopped 14 shots for MSU, which outshot the Rangers, 39-31. Faceoff specialist MARC GUIDO (North Caldwell, NJ / West Essex) won 11-of-17 attempts with Bonner collecting a team-best five ground balls.

The Red Hawks are now off until Wednesday, April 7 as they travel to Scranton, PA to face Marywood University at 7:00 pm.
