Red Hawks Drop Third Straight, Fall at York (PA), 10-4

York, PA – The Montclair State baseball team dropped its third straight game as the Red Hawks fell to York College on Wednesday afternoon. The loss dropped MSU to 17-14 on the season.

 The Red Hawks fell behind 1-0 in the bottom of the first inning, but scored twice to take a 2-1 lead in the third. KEVIN MILLER (Bloomfield, NJ / Bloomfield) doubled to lead off the inning and went to third as MICHAEL PATTERSON's (Piscataway, NJ / Piscataway) ground ball was misplayed. ANDREW HIMMELFARB (Nyack, NY / Nyack) lofted a sacrifice fly to score Miller tying the game at 1-1. Patterson would go to third on the play and scored as MICKEY MCGRAW (Morristown, NJ / Morristown) lifted another sacrifice fly.

 York responded with a five-run bottom of the inning to take the lead. The Spartans would ad a run in the fourth and three in the fifth to take a 10-2 advantage.

SAM POLITAN (Livingston, NJ / Livingston) accounted for Montclair State's final two runs as he blasted his first home run, a two-run shot, in the ninth.

 Miller finished with two hits for Montclair.

Montclair returns to action on Thursday, April 29 as the Red Hawks host Moravian College at Sprague Field beginning at 3:30 pm
