Montclair, NJ (9/10/10) - The Montclair State volleyball team dropped its first two matches in the MSU Classic at the Panzer Athletic Center on Friday evening as the Red Hawks fell to Lycoming College and Penn State-Altoona. The losses dropped MSU to 0-7 on the year.

KAITLYN IRWIN (Cranford, NJ / Cranford) collected 39 digs in the two matches as MSU fell to Lycoming 25-18, 25-21 and 25-15. Montclair dropped a 25-5, 25-20, 25-22 decision versus PSU-Altoona.

MARTA TOPOR (Bogota, NJ / Bogota) collected seven kills, three service aces and six digs while
KRISTEN BRONOWICH (Secaucus, NJ / Secaucus) and
RHIANNA RATTA (Belleville, NJ / Belleville) each had three kills.
BELLA MILSTEIN (Edison, NJ / JP Stevens) and
MEGAN COCKCROFT (Rutherford, NJ / Rutherford) had eight assists apiece while Irwin registered a match-best 18 digs.
Irwin added 21 digs in the loss to PSU-Altoona with Bronowich adding 11 to go along with four kills. Cockcroft posted six kills, six digs, four assists and one service ace. Milstein collected 11 assists and four digs. Topor had three kills and six digs.
Montclair State is back in action on Saturday as they wrap up the MSU Classic with contests against St. Mary's (MD) at 11:00 am and Cortland at 3:00 pm.
