New York, NY (9/15/10) – Sally Downs posted 11 kills and six service aces while Hope Bogle collected 19 assists as 23rd-ranked New York University swept Montclair State in three sets at the Coles Sports Center on Wednesday evening.

Sophomore ALYSSA BATISTE (Manahawkin, NJ / Southern Regional) had seven kills, three assists and three digs for the Red Hawks, who fell to 0-10 on the season.

Freshman MARTA TOPOR (Bogota, NJ / Bogota) added six kills and four digs while BELLA MILSTEIN (Edison, NJ / JP Stevens) had 10 assists to go along with two digs.

Freshman libero Kaitlin Irwin (Cranford, NJ / Cranford) had a match-high 14 digs for the Red Hawks.

Montclair will look to snap its losing streak on Friday, September 17 when the Red Hawks head to Union for the Kean Invitational. The Red Hawks will face Kean at 4:30 pm which will also count as the opening NJAC match for both teams. Montclair State will also face CCNY at 8:00 pm.
