KERRY GLYNN added a goal early in the second half as No. 10 Montclair State ran its unbeaten streak to 16 games with a 2-0 victory over Swarthmore at MSU Soccer Park on Saturday.

GINA POLICASTRO made three saves for her 12th shutout of the season as the Red Hawks upped their record to 15-1-1 in the first meeting between the teams.
The Red Hawks outshot the Garnet (9-6) 8-2 in the first half however it was Swarthmore getting the first opportunity in the fifth minute as Ellen Bachmannhuff put a shot on goal that was stopped by Policastro, who then came up with a save in the 14
th minute on a shot by Caroline Khanna.
MSU would get its chances throughout the period before breaking through with 3:47 to play on Gomes' third goal of the season, a left-footed shot to the right corner off a feed from freshman

Glynn extended the lead to 2-0 in the 58
th minute finishing off a feed from
FRANCESCA GIBSON. Gibson served a ball to the top of the box that Glynn corralled before firing a shot the tucked under the crossbar for her first of the season.
Policastro then preserved the shutout with one more save on Bachmannhuff at the 63:18 mark.
Reba Magier finished with five saves for Swarthmore.
Montclair State returns to action on Wednesday, October 29 when it hosts Rutgers-Newark at MSU Soccer Park beginning at 7:00 pm. The Red Hawks currently sit atop the NJAC standings at 7-0-1 and would capture the regular-season championship and top seed in the conference tournament with a victory. It will also be Senior Night as MSU will honor its 10 seniors – Policastro, Glynn,
