Camden, NJ – Sophomore
Melissa Terpstra (Midland Park, NJ, Midland Park) posted a double-double with 14 kills and 13 digs as Montclair State posted its second straight victory sweeping past Rutgers-Camden in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match on Tuesday evening.
Courtney Matlock (Jackson, NJ, Jackson Memorial) had six kills with
Leah Stine (Bridgewater, NJ, Bridgewater-Raritan) adding five as the Red Hawks upped their record to 16-6 overall, 2-2 in the NJAC. The Red Hawks won the match by set scores of 25-21, 25-11 and 25-19.
Senior
Angela Campo (Washington Township, NJ, Westwood) had a double-double of her own with 25 assists and 19 digs while
Rebecca Matasker (Washington Township, NJ, Westwood) contributed four kills and four service aces. Freshman
Madison Maute (Sparta, NJ, Sparta) had three kills and senior
Erika Gerner (Sparta, NJ, Sparta) chipped in with seven digs.
Montclair State returns to action on Saturday, October 11 with a home tri-match. The Red Hawks face Brooklyn College at 10:00 am and square off against Moravian College at 2:00 pm.
