Montclair, NJ – Junior
NIKKI SENOPOULOS totaled 19 kills and 42 digs leading Montclair State to a sweep of its home tri-match on Saturday at the Panzer Athletic Center. The Red Hawks (11-7) knocked off Manhattanville College in four sets before closing out the day with a 3-0 sweep of Mount St. Mary.
Junior
COURTNEY MATLOCK recorded 23 kills as MSU defeated Manhattanville 25-18 and 25-13 before dropping the third set 5-20. Montclair finished out the match with a 25-22 victory in the fourth.
Matlock had 12 kills and added three aces and six digs with Senopoulos adding 10 kills and 23 digs.
COURTNEY LEPORE chipped in with seven kills as did junior
REBECCA MATASKER and freshman
NATALIA MAJKUT.
KIMBERLY MATLOCK had 40 assists and five digs with libero
LILY SCANZILLO topping all players with 28 digs.
Senopoulos finished one kill shy of another double against Mt. St. Mary as Montclair recorded a 25-18, 25-16, 25-18 win. She served up five aces, nine kills and led all players with 19 digs.
COURTNEY MATLOCK had 11 kills and 10 digs with Majkut added 10 along with a pair of blocks.
MADISON MAUTE posted eight kills and three blocks with Kim Matlock and
ASHLEY GRIFFITH getting 34 and 10 assists, respectively.
DANIELLE OLCESE had nine digs.
MSU is back in action on Tuesday, October 13 when it heads to Newark, NJ to face Rutgers-Newark in an NJAC matchup at the Golden Dome beginning at 7:00 pm.
