Ewing, NJ – Senior DAMIAN BZIUKIEWICZ scored a pair of goals as No. 5 Montclair State posted its sixth straight victory, knocking off The College of New Jersey 3-0 at Lions Stadium on Wednesday evening.

BRENDAN GUZMAN had a goal for the Red Hawks, who remained unbeaten in the NJAC at 4-0 while upping its overall record to 12-1 on the season. The Lions fell to 6-4-2 overall, 0-4 in the league.

Each team finished with eight shots in the game however it was three by MSU that found the back of the net lifting Montclair to its first road win at TCNJ since 2011.

The Lions generated the game's first scoring chance when junior Thomas Hogue took a shot from the far side of the MSU penalty area that was smothered by keeper MIKE SAALFRANK. That opportunity came just over six minutes into the game.

The Red Hawks quickly countered with a goal just over a minute later when Bziukiewicz knocked in a cross by KYLE GOODWIN.

Montclair State added another goal with 11:42 left before the half as Guzman headed in a long throw-in by sophomore MIKE TARANTO.

TCNJ had a good chance in the early stages of the second half, but a shot by Matt Ziegler went over the cross bar.

The Red Hawks finished the scoring with 2:29 left in the game as Bziukiewicz picked up his second of the game.

Junior Jake Nesteruk finished with three saves for the Lions, while Saalfrank also made three stops for the Red Hawks.

Montclair State is back in action on Saturday, October 10 traveling to Glassboro, NJ for a 6:00 pm matchup against Rowan University.
