JENNIE HORNSTRA scored twice and assisted on a goal in the first half as Montclair State got back in the win column with a 6-0 win over St. Joseph's (LI) on Wednesday evening.

BROOKE BEATTY and
KENDEL BERNARDINI all had goals as the Red Hawks rebounded from its first loss in over month to improve to 9-2-1 overall. MSU also upped its record against the Golden Eagles (4-6-1) to 8-0.
Hornstra put Montclair State up 1-0 in the 12
th minute heading in a rebound off a save the SJC keeper Katie McGarrell. She extended the lead to two goals at the 17:29 mark with shot into the upper left corner and then assisted on a goal by Grabowski five minutes later as MSU led 3-0 at halftime.
The Red Hawks outshot St. Joseph's 10-6 in the first half and then held the hosts to only shot in the final 45 minutes while recording 12 to finish with a 22-7 advantage in that department.
Geonnetti scored the first of three goals by MSU in the final 20 minutes. The senior tucked a shot into the upper left corner with 17:50 left with Beatty tallying her goal at
76:07. Bernadini capped the scoring with 61 seconds left off an assist by
ALEX GLICKMAN.
ERINNE FINLAYSON stopped all six shots she faced recording her fifth shutout of the season in six appearances.
Montclair State returns to action on Saturday, October 10 when it hosts Rowan University at MSU Soccer Park beginning at 6:00 pm.
