BRETT MANGAN scored five times and Montclair State got hat trick from three different players as the Red Hawks soared past Maritime College, 24-10 in Skyline Conference action on Saturday.

ZACH SCHRECK and
MICHAEL JEVIC each scored three goals as Montclair (9-5) won its third straight and stayed atop the conference standings at 4-0.
CONNOR CUNNINGHAMand
DYLAN HENINGBURG scored two goals each.
Nick Pellegrino had three goals for the Privateers (6-7, 2-3 Skyline).
Montclair began the game slowly and trailed 3-2 before Mangan tied the game with an unassisted goal with 9:34 remaining. However, Maritime collected the next two including a man-up goal by Pellegrini for a 5-3 advantage with 3:37 to go in the first.
But Montclair turned up the offensive pressure scoring the next eight goals covering the final 16:42 of the first half. Mangan and Jevic scored 42 seconds apart to close out the first and
ZACH SCHRECK's second 35 seconds into the second period put the Red Hawks in front for good. Mangan followed with a manu-up tally and
ZACH SCHRECK's 26
th of the season with 8:58 left made the score 8-5.
SHANE RAYMOND extended the lead to four goals with
MICHAEL SCHRECK and Jevic finishing off the 6-0 quarter for MSU as it led 11-5 at the half.
Pellegrino ended the run with a power-play tally three minutes into the third quarter however
MICHAEL SCHRECK and Cunningham scored two minutes apart to boost the lead to 13-6 with 8:33 to play. Montclair led 15-8 at the end of three periods and then poured it on in the fourth outscoring Maritime 9-2 in the final 15 minutes. Heningburg had a hand in the final three assisting on a goal by
LIAM CHRISTENSEN with 3:19 left before netting the last two Red Hawks scores.
ZACH SCHRECK finished with three assists with
SHANE RAYMOND adding two helpers along with a goal. Goalkeeper
LUCAS JONES made two saves while
BLASE MANTINEO won 16 faceoffs and registered seven ground balls.
RYAN TOTIN led the MSU defense with three caused turnovers and eight ground balls while
ROBERT SNOW had three ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Mangan also forced three turnovers and had four ground balls with
MICHAEL SCHRECK scooping up five.
The Red Hawks are back home on Wednesday, April 22 hosting Kean University at 7:00 pm. It will be Senior Day for Montclair as the Red Hawks will honor their eight seniors prior to the game -
