Montclair, NJ – Junior forward JENNIE HORNSTRA scored with 3:25 remaining in the second half as Montclair State picked up its fourth straight victory with a 2-1 victory over University of Rochester at MSU Soccer Park on Sunday afternoon.

Senior MARTINA LANDEKA scored the game-tying goal and assisted on the winner as the Red Hawks (4-1) overcame a 1-0 deficit with 23 minutes left in the contest.

Hornstra nearly put the Red Hawks on the board early however her shot in the 10^th minute was stopped by Yellowjacket keeper Madilynne Lee with a rebound attempt by MALLORI HIGBEE going high over the net. CLAIRE MIDILI later fired a shot from 30 yards out that Lee made a jumping grab and an attempt by STEFANIE GOMES in the 36^th minute was also pulled in by Lee.

Rochester's Margaret Lee got a ball deep in the box on the right side with 7:23 to go, however Montclair State's HEATHER SOOTKOOS was able to clear the ball back out as the contest went to halftime scoreless.

Despite being outshot 8-2 in the first half, the Yellowjackets got the first attempt on goal in the second as Margaret Lee sent a shot from top right corner of the box that was scooped up by Red Hawks goalkeeper MOLLY BARROW.  Madilynne Lee deflected away a shot by Gomes on the right post in the 55^th minute and two more shots by Gomes went wide and high before Rochester broke through.

Cristina Feller collected the ball as the top of the box in the 68^th minute and flipped a pass of to Hailey Orciuch who then moved to her right before ripping a shot inside the right post for her first goal of the season and a 1-0 Rochester advantage.

Montclair State answered a little over four minutes later. Gomes sent a corner kick into the box that was knocked around for a few seconds before landing on the foot of Landeka who one-time the ball top shelf for her first of the season knotting the game at 1-1 with 18:43 to go.

Margaret Lee gave the Yellowjackets a chance to regain the lead seven minutes later however her shot deep inside the box on the left side went wid.

The Red Hawks then took the lead as Landeka corralled a clearing pass and sent a ball from beyond midfield. Hornstra outran two defenders and dribbled in the final 25 yards before depositing a shot past a sprawling Lee for the game-winning goal.

Madilynne Lee finished with five saves for Rochester while Barrow had the one for MSU. Montclair State outshot the Yellowjackets 13-6 and had the edge in corner kicks, 5-4.

The Red Hawks are back in action on Wednesday, September 16 traveling to Madison, NJ to face FDU-Florham at 7:00 pm. MSU will then open up conference action on Saturday, September 19^th at home against New Jersey City University (2:00 pm).
