th in Division III, defeated Gwynedd Mercy University, 5-2 on Saturday afternoon at Sprague Field.

Freshman Kaley Dalgauer scored twice for the Red Hawks while
KAITLYN STRUSS had a goal and an assist as the Red Hawks won their fifth straight.

Sophomore goalkeeper Samantha Soscia made 15 saves for the Griffins (4-3), who had their four-game winning streak snapped.

Gwynedd Mercy struck first on Stephanie Bacho's goal in the fourth minute, her fourth of the season. Montclair State countered in the 14
th minute on Struss' sixth of the year. Struss had been denied twice in the sequence before finally scoring on the rebound.

Dalgauer scored twice, her fifth and sixth goals of season, in the second half to push the score to 3-1. Soscia came up big with a save on an
ALEXA CONSTANTINE penalty stroke to shift the momentum in the Griffins' favor, who then cut the lead to 3-2 on Katie O'Neill's penalty stroke.

CHARISSE MYERS gave the Red Hawks some breathing room on a penalty stroke goal, her first of the year and a chip shot by
JACINTA SANTOS provided the final score of the contest.The goal was the fourth of the season for Santos.
REBECCA BRATTOLE stopped four shots for MSU, which outshot the Griffins 20-8, with all 20 shots on goal.
