DANIELLE MURRAY had nine kills for Montclair State as the Red Hawks hit .537 for the match in a three-set sweep of Sarah Lawrence at the Hunter Invitational on Saturday morning.
Freshman
ASHLEY GRIFFITH recorded 28 assists along with four aces and three digs helping the Red Hawks to a 25-7, 25-7, 25-8 victory. MSU improved to 8-6 overall.
Montclair committed just two errors in 54 attempts on the match. Griffith was 9-for-10 while senior
LILLIANA GONZALEZ converted five of her seven attempts in the match.
ALLYSSA ANGEL had four kills as did
REBECCA MATASKER.
The Red Hawks registered 19 service aces with Gonzalez leading the way in that department with five.
LILY SCANZILLO added four along with Griffith while
NIKKI SENOPOULOS and Matasker each had two. Scanzillo and Gonzalez had eight digs apice with
LEAH STINE getting four.
Montclair State returns to action on Tuesday, September 29 when it hosts Ramapo College at the Panzer Gymnasium beginning at 7:00 pm.
