Mahwah, NJ - The Montclair State volleyball team saw its 12-match winning streak come to a halt as the Red Hawks fell to Ramapo College in straight sets at the Bradley Center on Tuesday evening.
Junior
HAYLEY MERRILL collected 12 kills however it would not be enough as MSU (17-3, 4-2 NJAC) suffered its first loss since September 13 against Stockton. The 12-match winning streak is the second-longest in school history trailing only the 13-match streak set during the 1998 campaign. The Roadrunners (19-3, 5-0 NJAC) posted set scores of 25-21, 25-23 and 23-19.
Senior
COURTNEY MATLOCK had nine kills while sophomore
NATALIA MAJKUT added eight along with four blocks.
REBECCA MATASKER chipped in with six kills. Setter
ASHLEY GRIFFITH had 33 assists along with nine digs while
DANIELLE OLCESE led all players with 29 digs.
Montclair will look to get back on the winning track on Thursday, October 13 as it hosts William Paterson at the Panzer Athletic Center. First serve of the NJAC match is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
