Senior Becomes Fifth Player in Program History to Reach Millenium Mark

Montclair, NJ – Senior COURTNEY MATLOCK recorded 15 kills, including the 1000th of her career leading Montclair State to a four-set win over New Jersey City University at the Panzer Athletic Center on Tuesday evening.

LEAH STINE and HAYLEY MERRILL had nine kills apiece for the Red Hawks, who improved to 21-7 after registering a 25-13, 24-26, 25-10, 25-9 win against the Gothic Knights (13-13, 0-8 NJAC).

Matlock became the fifth player in program history and the first since Kara Burnham and Anna Chesnakova each got there in 2009. DANIELLE OLCESE got 13 digs with MELISSA TERPSTRA posting a pair of kills, an ace and four digs.  The Matlocks, Olcese, Stine, Terpstra and Matasker were all honored prior to the game on Senior Night.
