New York, NY – The Montclair State volleyball team dropped its first match at the New York Regional Challenge on Friday as the Red Hawks lost to University of Rochester in three sets.
Montclair fell to 21-8 on the year after the Yellowjackets registered a 25-16, 26-24, 25-19 victory.
Junior
HAYLEY MERRILL led the Red Hawks with nine kills while senior
COURTNEY MATLOCK added eight.
NATALIA MAJKUT and
REBECCA MATASKER each had four.
ASHLEY GRIFFITH and
KIMBERLY MATLOCK registered 16 and nine assists respectively while
DANIELLE OLCESE led the Red Hawks with eight digs.
Montclair State plays twice more in the Challenge which is being held at Baruch College. The Red Hawks face Buffalo State at 10:30 am before meeting up with RIT at 2:30 pm.
