Montclair, NJ – College at Brockport's Kelly Wall scored three times and assisted on four other goals as the Golden Eagles knocked off Montclair State 12-9 at Sprague Field on Saturday afternoon.
Makensie Schuber added three goals and an assist as Brockport used a six-goal run in the first half to catapult itself to a victory in its season opener.

LINDSAY LARE netted four goals for the Red Hawks, who fell to 1-1.
Hailey Boronczyk scored the first goal and then set up Schuber for the second allowing the Golden Eagles to grab a 2-0 lead with 19:48 to play in the first half.
KASEY MAGUIRE put MSU on the board eight minutes later however Wall's first goal with 10:51 started the key run for Brockport.
Schuber assisted on Andrea Zlinsky's goal with 9:31 to play and back-to-back goals from Schuber and Wall pushed the lead to 6-1 with 6:52 remaining. Jessica Boddery made its six-goal advantage with four minutes left before Wall bookended the run with her second goal as Brockport led 8-1.
KARA CRAMPTON ended the run with a free-position goal as MSU trailed 8-2 at the half.
Wall registered an assist on the first three goals of the second half that widened the Brockport lead to 11-2 with 25:47 to play. Montclair State made a run, scoring five times over the next 11 minutes. Lare had three in the spurt and Avianna Parragio's score with 14:38 remaining got the Red Hawks within 11-7.
Schuber recorded her third goal with 10:52 to halt the Montclair State run. Lare got her third two minutes to get MSU within four at 12-8.
FRANCESCA VERRONE scored what turned out to be the final goal of the game with 3:20 left.
Paige Lammes and Sara Shaddock combined on eight saves for Brockport. Schuber collected four draws with Ciara McKeon adding three along with four ground balls. Courtney Szczesniak forced a pair of turnovers.
Crampton and Verrone had four draw and two caused turnovers apiece for Montclair State with Crampton recording six ground balls. Defender

Montclair goes right back to work on Sunday, February 28 with a 3:00 pm matchup against Fredonia.
