Auburndale, FL – The Montclair State baseball team dropped a doubleheader with Roger Williams University at the RussMatt Invitational on Wednesday. The Red Hawks (3-4) fell 3-1 in the opener and 5-1 in the second contest.

PHILIP SCOTT gave MSU a 1-0 lead in the opener as he doubled home
JOE FOOTE with the game's first run. But that would be just one of three hits in the game for Montclair State as Troy DeLeon tossed a complete game, striking out eight.
JOSH FELIX took the loss for MSU as he went the first four innings.
In the second contest, Roger Williams grabbed the early lead as Kevin Baker belted a three-run homer in the first inning. Baker and Shane Nowak added RBI singles in the third for a 5-0 lead. MSU got on the board in the fifth as
KEVIN CAMPBELL plated a run with a ground out.
KEITH MURPHY and
PETER PENA had two hits apiece for the Red Hawks.
Montclair State returns to action on Thursday, March 10 at 4:00 pm against Husson University.
