Montclair, NJ - Junior centerfielder Brandon Martinez homered and drove in four runs as fourth-ranked Ramapo finished off its home-and-home set with Montclair State posting a 9-1 win at Yogi Berra Stadium on Monday afternoon.
Third baseman Austin Uglaub went 3-for-5 and drove in two runs as the Roadrunners improved to 20-1-1 overall while remaining unbeaten in the NJAC at 4-0.

RYAN LONG had two hits each for Montclair, which fell back to the .500 mark all the way around. The Red Hawks are now 12-12 overall, 3-3 in the conference.
Just like in the first meeting between the teams last Thursday (an 8-2 Ramapo victory), the Roadrunners struck for runs in the first inning as Unglaub doubled to right-center field scoring Connor Walsh and Rob DeAngelis. Montclair State had an opportunity to answer in its half loading the bases with two outs however
MATT LONG lined a shot to first base that Walsh snared to end the threat.
Martinez extended the lead to 3-0 in the third with an RBI single with Montclair State accounting for its only run of the contest in the bottom half.
KEITH MURPHY drove home Long, who opened the inning with a triple.
Martinez would break the game open in the fifth with a three-run blast over the left field fence, his third of the yeat, giving Ramapo a 6-1 advantage. Ryan Rinsky pulled off a successful squeeze in the seventh for an RBI with Bobby Shannon accounting for the final two runs in the ninth on a double.
Brian Cottrell picked up his third win of the year as he is now 3-0. Cottrell went the first five innings allowing six hits and the one run. He walked one and struck out two. Casey Jervis tossed two scoreless innings with Greg Westhelle and Jerry D'Andrea each went one inning.

AUSTIN MINTON took the loss for the Red Hawks falling to 2-2.
Montclair State returns to action on Thursday, April 14 as it takes the short nine-mile journey to Wayne to face local rival William Paterson at Jeff Albies Field. First pitch of the NJAC contest is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
